Announcement on camper areas from the Ministry of Tourism

Gaetana Russo, FdI parliamentarian, and Priamo Bocchi, FdI group leader in the Parma city council, speak on the financing of the Ministry of Tourism in favor of the camper sector.
«The Ministry of Tourism – they write – makes 33 million euros available to support municipalities with populations of up to 20 thousand inhabitants in the development of rest areas, or if higher, which present projects for the construction of rest areas on the municipal territory within 15 km of a historical and/or religious path, such as the Via Francigena in our area. The maximum contribution that can be granted for a single equipped parking area is equal to 400 thousand euros for newly built areas, or 240 thousand euros for equipped areas undergoing redevelopment. The initiative responds to the requests of camper associations, which have long highlighted the lack of adequate structures to welcome travelers on recreational vehicles, and to guarantee adequate organization of itinerant tourism and is part of a strategy to strengthen open-air tourism open, fundamental for many local realities. For the province of Parma this call represents a crucial opportunity. The Parma area, rich in villages, natural landscapes and cultural architectural heritage, can exploit this tool to improve tourist reception, encouraging a rapidly growing tourist segment. The possibility of improving the infrastructure dedicated to campers and travelers on the move will allow our province to attract greater tourist flows, while promoting a sustainable and widespread tourism model, which also affects lesser-known but highly valuable locations. It is therefore a measure that not only responds to a practical need, but strengthens the development potential of an extraordinary territory like ours, which deserves to be discovered in all its extraordinary nature.
