Announcement of the Death of Ahmed Helmy’s Brother Khaled

Ahmed Helmy announced the death of his brother Khaled in a message he shared on social media, which said: “My brother Khaled Muhammad Helmy Abdel Rahman has passed away – condolences at the Police Mosque in Sheikh Zayed… on Sunday, December 10. We ask you to pray.”

The deceased died of a heart attack at dawn today, after experiencing some pain, as he was a heart patient and had previously had open-heart surgery.

The funeral will take place from the Nasser Mosque in Banha, and the deceased will be buried in the family graves in the village of Al-Shamout, and the funeral will be held at the Police Mosque in Sheikh Zayed on Sunday, December 10.

Their sister, Sally Helmy, wrote on Facebook: “My brother Khaled Helmy has passed away. I ask you to pray for him on this holy Friday.”

A number of stars offered condolences to Helmy and his family, including Yasmine Abdel Aziz, Tamer Hussein, Latifa Al-Tunisia, Eten Amer and others.

The social media post of Helmy’s predecessor spoke about the strength of the relationship between them, as he previously wrote: “My big brother, Khaled Helmy… looks very similar to each other in glasses… The best thing is to have an older brother than you… He will not only be a brother, but he will also be a friend… Oh my peace.. Oh, he made me go down and get a living instead.. Ha.. Come on.. The big one is big too.. My love, Khalouda.”
