Everyone who loves Katare Toyama.
Happy New Year.
It may not be good news at the beginning of the new year, but I have decided to retire after last season.
I apologize for not being able to say it directly in front of everyone.
I hesitated a lot before making this decision.

At the end of last season I got injured in a way I didn’t expect and that’s how the season ended.
I decided to leave Toyama like that, and even if I was cured, I was worried it might happen again.
I was really worried if I could play seriously after next year.
I still want to kick the ball, I want to chase the ball with all my might and most of all I want to play football.
But when I thought about what to prioritize, the number one decision was to retire for my health and that of my family.

He started playing soccer at the age of 5 and turned pro after graduating from high school for 15 years.
The future is completely different than I imagined, but now I think I can be proud that I have managed to overcome two serious injuries and have played until now. I can’t show it in numbers or results, and I wish I could play more memorable for everyone.
But I’ve been able to play so far
My family, parents, friends, colleagues, sponsors and supporters have pushed and supported me through the most difficult times.
Thank you for always supporting me with positive words when things didn’t go well or when I was out injured.
Above all, my wife and children have supported me. I really can’t thank you enough. I think I have had a lot of difficulties because I have endured many things because of my selfishness.
Everywhere I go people come to the stadium to cheer me on when I play, cheer me on TV and sometimes they get criticized.
I really enjoyed it and it was the happiest moment as I saw the happy faces of my family while playing the game.
I was able to express my gratitude to my family by ending up in better shape, but I couldn’t and I regret my lack of strength till the end. sorry.
Without my family, I don’t think I would have been able to continue as a professional footballer for 15 years.
Thanks so much for the ending.

I would also like to thank the 7 teams Shonan Bellmare, Jef United Chiba, Fagiano Okayama, Shimizu S-Pulse, Blaublitz Akita, Fukushima United FC and Katare Toyama for playing as professional footballers for 15 years.

Second life starting now
“Be humble and be yourself at all times”
I really want to enjoy it like I used to.

My football life would not have been possible without your support.
I am truly grateful.
There have been difficult times for 15 years, but thanks to all of you I have been able to live happily as a professional footballer.
Thank you so much for supporting me to this day.
