The aim of the study contract is to obtain a functionally convincing, urban planning and spatially meaningful, high-quality design and identity-forming design for a city park that meets the various usage requirements and carefully handles this centrally located, historically significant and sensitive open space.
The diverse judging panel, made up of specialist jurors and experts, accompanies the process and selects a draft for further processing. After completion of the study contract, all drafts are expected to be presented to the public in an exhibition in April 2024. The citizens then have the opportunity to provide feedback, which can then be incorporated into the implementation planning.
The study contract was advertised between March 22 and April 21, 2023. 16 applications were received. Taking into account the experiences and references, the assessment committee selected the following four planning teams:

- Studio Vulkan Landschaftsarchitektur AG, Zurich with OePlan GmbH, Zimraum GmbH
