Guanajuato. The Government of Mexico announced the shipment of 66,000 Pfizer vaccines to resume the vaccination of children between 5 and 11 years of age in 11 municipalities of Guanajuato next Monday, July 18.
“Of the one million two thousand pediatric vaccines that arrived in our country on July 13, Guanajuato will receive 66 thousand doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech brand to continue with the vaccination of Guanajuato children in at least 11 municipalities of the state,” said Mauricio Hernández Núñez. , Delegate for Welfare Programs in Guanajuato.
The municipalities that will participate in this event that starts next Monday, July 18, will be those in the north of the state and are: Atarjea, Doctor Mora, Dolores Hidalgo, San Diego de la Unión, San José Iturbide, San Luis de la Paz, San Miguel Allende, Santa Catarina, Tierra Blanca, Victoria and Xichu.
He explained that minors must be accompanied by an older adult, bring the minor’s CURP and the printed record that is issued on the mivacuna.salud.gob.mx platform. They should come with breakfast, well hydrated and with some kind of protection from the sun or rain.
He announced that the Roadrunner Brigades and all the personnel participating in the sessions are ready to start this Monday, July 18, and until the end of the doses at the 11 application points that are easily accessible.
“We will be implementing the same dynamic, which everyone already knows, which is the installation of vaccination points in easily accessible places such as auditoriums, sports centers and educational institutions so that parents can go with children between 5 and 11 years of age to apply the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine,” he said.
He recognized that thanks to the deployment of authorities from the federal, state, municipal and National Guard governments, the application has been achieved to more than 90 percent of the population of Guanajuato.
