Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The government ensures that it will not impose odd-even police numbers during the Christmas and New Year holiday periods on toll roads.
This was stated by the Spokesperson for the Ministry of Transportation, Adita Irawati, during a conversation with CNBC Indonesia, Monday (20/12/2021). “There is no specific gage application on toll roads,” said Adita
The plan to expand the policy on restricting community mobility on toll roads was previously put forward by the Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi.
In a working meeting with the DPR some time ago, Budi said that the odd-even implementation plan on toll roads would be implemented from December 20 to January 2, 2022.
The odd-even implementation plan is indeed one of the options that surfaced in restricting people’s movements. This policy will apply at a number of points that are considered to be the epicenter of the crowd.
The points in question include toll roads, provincial capital areas, to tourist attractions. Specifically for toll roads, odd-even toll roads will be implemented on the Merak toll road, Palimanan-Kanci toll road, Cikampek toll road, and Padalarang toll road.
However, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has extended the policy for vehicle restrictions with an odd-even system that applies to 13 protocol roads and 3 tourist sites.
The odd-even special for 13 road sections has been extended until January 3, 2022.
As for the point of application of the restrictions, nothing has changed. Odd-even implementation will still be applied on 13 roads, with implementation times Monday – Friday at 06.00 – 10.00 WIB and 16.00 – 21.00 WIB.
Meanwhile, on odd-even weekends, three odd-even locations were added, namely in a number of tourist areas such as Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, Taman Mini Indonesia, and Ragunan.
Three tourist sites in DKI Jakarta that apply odd-even policies will start on Friday at 12.00 WIB until Sunday at 18.00 WIB.
