Announcement: “Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash” – First Console Game Revealed at Anime Expo 2023

On July 2nd, Bandai Namco Entertainment announced “Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash” (pronounced as Jujutsu Kaisen Senkasouran in Japanese) at the “Bandai Namco Summer Showcase at Anime Expo 2023”. Supported platforms are PS4/PS5/Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S/Nintendo Switch/Steam.

This work is said to be the first console game of “Jujutsu Kaisen”. Unreal Engine is used for the development of this work. The characters appearing in the original are said to be a 2vs2 action game in which they use magic and fight with their partners to reach higher heights. As for the characters, we can see familiar faces such as Hisahito Kojo, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugizaki, and Satoru Gojo in the PV at the moment. It is said that there are more than 15 participating characters, and other participating characters will be revealed in the future. More information seems to pop up within Anime Expo 2023.

Speaking of “Jujutsu Kaisen”, Sumzap is about to release “Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade” as a smartphone game. From Bandai Namco Entertainment, it seems that a battle action game will be developed for the first console / Steam. At the moment, it is an announcement for overseas, but the development including the title name will be announced for the domestic market. Let’s wait for information disclosure.

Bandai Namco Entertainment has also announced this work for the domestic market. The title of the game seems to be “Jujutsu Kaisen Senka Soran”.
