The Astronomy Academic and Communication Service Center of the National Astronomical Research Institute (Public Organization) is inviting amateur astronomers and photography enthusiasts from all over the country to participate in the annual photo contest “Amazing Astronomical Photography”. The contest aims to provide a platform for participants to showcase their skills in using astronomy as a theme for their photography.

The winner of the contest will receive a cash prize worth more than 160,000 baht, along with a plaque of honor. Additionally, the winning photos will be featured in the Astronomical Photography Exhibition at the 2023 National Science and Technology Fair and will be published in the Astronomy Calendar 2024.

The competition rules are open to young people and the general public, with no gender or age restrictions. Participants can submit unlimited types of images and unlimited numbers of entries. The photos must be self-taken and should fall into one of the following five categories: deep space objects, astronomical phenomena, solar system objects, natural scenery and astronomy, and phenomena occurring in the Earth’s atmosphere.
