(PressFire.no): Sony has announced a PS5 remaster of “The Last of Us Part II”, which originally came out for PS4 in 2020.
There are thus more remasters and remakes than actual games in the series, oddly enough.
This remastered version of the game will have better graphics in the form of everything we expect from such remasters: support for up to 4K resolution, VRR support, better textures, better image refresh, better shadows, etc.
It’s not just the graphics that have changed here – more content has also been added. It includes new clothes for the main characters, a separate “free play” mode for guitar playing (which also allows you to play as other characters and areas that were not found in the original.
These areas, which were cut from the release of the original, have been added even though they are not completely finished, and contain commentary tracks from the developers.
In addition, a brand new “survival” mode has been added, called “No Return”, which developer Naughty Dog says is a rogue-like where you have to fight against waves of enemies.
Launch is 19 January next year. Those who already have the PS4 version of the game can upgrade for ten dollars – just over a hundred. The new version also supports the save files from the old one.
