Guadalajara Jalisco.

The Jalisco Experimental Theater celebrates its 60th anniversary by reopening its doors to the public. The emblematic forum run by the University of Guadalajara has been the scene of countless stagings and has consolidated itself as a modern and purposeful space, which is why it is one of the longest-lived in the state. This was expressed by the head of the Office of the Ministry of Culture, Susana Chávez Brandon.

“What allowed and has allowed for 6 decades to be carried out multiple and diverse creative possibilities where comedy and tragedy meet as seen in the sculptures made by Olivier Seguín and where we want them to continue to find ways to explore art to question ourselves through the scene, to move forward despite obstacles, even despite pandemics. “

To celebrate its 60th anniversary and to be able to reconnect with the public, the coordinator of Performing Arts of Cultura UdeG, Daniela Yoffe announced the new billboard that the Experimental Theater of Jalisco will have from April 17 and until the month of August, which includes 46 performances by 10 Jalisco theater companies.

“From April to August we will have cultural shows every weekend. On Saturdays at 5 in the afternoon staging for adolescents and adults and on Sundays staging for the whole family. Everything will happen on the Esplanade with a reduced capacity and complying with all sanitary measures so that they can come and enjoy a live scenic experience ”.

The capacity in the esplanade of the theater will be limited to 25 people. The works that will be presented are; “A comical suitcase”, “The pajaretes”, “Kame hame ha”, “A very tight tutu”, “Ella 2.0”, “Kamishibai”. “Woman without Vuitton”, “Take me”, “Trip of three” and “They say that turtles do not dream.” The income will be priced at 50 pesos per person and will be available on the page of www.cultura.udg.mx.
