Announce Eid Prayer at JIS, Anies: We Will Glorify Takbir

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan announced the implementation of the Eid prayer which will be held at the Jakarta International Stadium.

“At the same time, we inform you that the Jakarta International Stadium is ready to welcome the Eid prayer congregation on this 1st Shawwal,” Anies said in a video upload via the Instagram account @aniesbaswedan, Wednesday (27/4/2022).

“In that place we will recite dhikr, we will glorify takbir in the masterpieces of this city, we will be grateful and prostrate to seek Divine pleasure,” added Anies.

The former Minister of Education for Volume I of the Working Cabinet hopes that with the implementation of the Eid al-Fitr prayer, the JISis expected to add to the lively celebration of the Muslim ummah.

“Hopefully this will add to the excitement and enthusiasm in celebrating victory and being grateful for the blessings from Allah,” said Anies.

“See you at the Jakarta International Stadium,” he said.

In addition, Anies also wished a happy Eid Al-Fitr to Muslims in Jakarta who had completed a month of fasting.
