The start was on Friday. Whether police, fire brigade, Red Cross, mountain rescue, armed forces or civil defense society: they all and several other groups and clubs introduced themselves. The display was also impressive, including the police helicopter.
Interior Minister Gerhard Karner was the guest of honor at the beer tap. He did this together with Mayor Manuel Aichberger. Also in the pavilion were State Police Director Franz Popp, his deputy Manfred Aichberger, Federal Councilor Sandra Böhmwalder and representatives of Lilienfeld town and community councils. The regional chairman of Lower Austria, Traudl Wolfschwenger, was in charge of the seniors’ evening. The concert with the Lower Austrian Police Band under bandmaster Silvia Jäger was also a wake-up call. The city’s restaurateurs have taken care of your physical well-being with all kinds of hearty, regional ingredients.
The festival continues for two more days
The festival continues tomorrow, Saturday. State Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner is expected to be the guest of honor at the parade and subsequent ceremony.
But it starts in the morning in the basilica monastery. Between 9:30 am to 10:30 am There is a holiday service – Regular: “Youth Mass” by Joseph Haydn and “Anniversary Mass” by Christian Dreo. The musicians are the Lilienfeld Abbey Choir and the project choir “50 Years of the City of Lilienfeld” with singers and musicians from Lilienfeld and the surrounding area. The mass is celebrated by Abbot Pius Maurer. Karen De Pastel plays the organ.

Am Sunday, September 8the motto is “Muckenkogel – Our “local mountain”. On this day, the focus is on the chair lift and the Muckenkogel.
At the cross on the Klosteralm takes place 9.30 Ur alpine mass for “The Nativity of the Virgin Mary” by the Ordinary: “German Mass” by Franz Schubert. A wind ensemble from the town band will play.
