In September 2021, influencer and TV profile Anniken Jørgensen (27) revealed that she had found a new boyfriend, and just over six months later Theo Engelstad (28) got down on one knee and proposed.
The answer from Jørgensen was a clear “yes”, and the popular influencer was soon able to reveal to Nettavisen that they both dream of a wedding in the forest. Now, over a year later, the plan is still to get married in nature. Beyond this, however, they have not made any specific wedding plans.

– So, I don’t understand how people have time to get married, says Jørgensen to Nettavisen.
Nettavisen meets Jørgensen in connection with the farewell party for influencer colleague Isabel Raad (29), where she can reveal that there will not necessarily be a wedding right away. She and her fiance have to solve a dilemma before the planning of the dream wedding goes any further.
Because weddings are not the only thing on the cards for the duo.
House or wedding
Earlier this year, Jørgensen and Engelstad put their apartment up for sale, and the couple are now living with their in-laws until they find something new.
And the housing situation has put new thoughts in the head of the 27-year-old.

– We live with our in-laws in a house, and it suddenly feels a bit far to return to the city in an apartment again. I feel like a house. But it is also expensive, especially as we want to live in Oslo, she laughs.
– And weddings are expensive, so we’ll see, she adds.
For now, Jørgensen and his fiance have set the wedding date for early autumn 2024, but due to the fresh dream of a house in the capital, it now remains to be seen what they will achieve. According to Jørgensen, it will only be one of them – not both.
– So now I’m a bit like that, get married or buy a house? It will be one of the things. We’ll see in the fall.
– Either we have bought a home, or we are getting married, laughs Jørgensen.
Leaving the country
As mentioned, Jørgensen and Engelstad now live with the latter’s parents – but they have no plans to stay there for very long.
In the autumn, they have plans for a stay abroad, and are taking their moving luggage to Paris with them.
– We leave in October and stay until December. It will be so delicious, says the influencer.
– I think I’m going to enjoy it, but I think Theo is going to think it’s absolutely awful, she adds and laughs.
The plan for the stay is to work, take pictures and create content for Jørgensen’s platforms. At the same time, she is looking forward to experiencing what it is like to live outside her home country for a period.
– We want to get to know a new place and explore a little more than just Norway. If I’m going to be “out there” I have to try something different.
