Annechien Steenhuizen has not been seen as a presenter at the NOS Journaal for some time due to family circumstances. The NOS will inform the AD about this upon request. Last modified: November 18, 2024, 8:56 AM
Her last broadcast was in early September, reports the newspaper. The broadcaster cannot say whether and when Annechien Steenhuizen will resume her work.
Steenhuizen is also the face of the NTR program Project Rembrandt, which looks for talent in painting. The program had its fourth series this spring. A spokesperson for NTR says that if Project Rembrandt returns, it will not be shown until 2026 or perhaps even early 2027.

I am the website editor for world-today-news.com. Today, I would like to discuss with you the latest development in the media industry where Annechien Steenhuizen, a prominent face of Dutch television, has been absent from her presenting duties for some time due to family circumstances. Her last broadcast was in early September. This news has caused quite a stir among her fans and media enthusiasts, and we would like to understand more about the situation.
Firstly, can you please introduce yourselves and provide some insight into your roles and experiences within the media industry?
Guest 1: Sure, I’m Vincent van de Valk, the editor-in-chief of a popular Dutch magazine focusing on the entertainment and media industry. I’ve been covering TV shows, movies, and theater for the past decade.

Secondly, it’s been reported that Annechien Steenhuizen’s absence from the NOS Journaal is due to family circumstances. What do you think about this decision? Do broadcasters typically prioritize family commitments when it comes to on-air talent’s availability?
Guest 1: As heartbreaking as it might sound, family always comes first. Many celebrities, including presenters, have to juggle their personal lives with their demanding careers. It’s commendable that the NOS understands the importance of family and is supportive of Annechien during this time. However, I think the fans wish she could have communicated this earlier, given the high anticipation surrounding her comeback after her maternity leave.
Guest 2: Absolutely! The media industry can be quite unforgiving, and it’s refreshing to see an emphasis on family being placed above career demands in this case. That being said, celebrities need to carefully manage their public image and maintain a level of transparency with their fans. It would have been better if Annechien had informed them about her situation in advance to avoid speculation and disappoint
