Discovered by Herbert von Karajan at the age of 13, Anne-Sophie Mutter has had an extraordinary career for over four decades. “If you want to get to know me, you have to see me on stage,” the violinist once said. In the rather anecdotal film by Sigrid Faltin, you can experience the artist hiking with her dachshund, but also in conversation with her important personalities and companions. Anne-Sophie Mutter gives no insight into her home, but reveals a few private things, albeit in precise doses. The film “Vivace”, which is now in cinemas, shows Anne-Sophie Mutter not only as an artist, but also as a socially committed woman. She is President of the German Cancer Aid and has brought in over one million euros for the “Save the Children” foundation in benefit concerts for Ukrainian children.
