On Sunday, two days after the accident, a representative of Heche informed that her condition remained stable. The day before, on Saturday, August 6, a source close to Heche had informed CNN that the actress had previously been in an intensive care unit, where she had been severely burned.

Now a representative of the actress has issued a statement saying that her condition is “extremely critical”. “She is in a coma, she has not regained consciousness,” reads the release quoted by Variety.
