“The truth is that I hesitate to call things ‘middle-aged’ just because I can be a semantic stickler and I could still get hit by a car today. We don’t know if this is middle age. We don’t know anything.”
She emphasizes that you cannot be aware of what is left of life. As a young woman with chronic stress, she took life for granted. But that is not true. Hathaway always tries to remember when the pressure is on her.
And without alcohol, she’s clearly found a great way to be in the moment.
