Anne, who was the best in dictation for the Ivory Coast, reads a lot to discover stories and new words. She also likes dictation because it allows her to challenge herself and learn more. She managed to get the best grades thanks to her self-confidence, her regular preparation and the supervision of her master.
Côte d’Ivoire is at its second participation this year.
The competition
The 32nd edition of this international dictation contest was held on May 21 at 10 a.m. (Eastern time) at the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM). Nearly 80 finalists from Côte d’Ivoire, across Canada, the United States, Senegal and Morocco met for this final of the great dictation of the 2022-2023 edition. The chosen theme was: “Let’s cultivate a just and egalitarian world!”.
The winners of this edition are Sophie Wilson from Pierre-Elliot-Trudeau School in Canada and Olivia Metrakos (2nd) from Toronto French School in Canada.
