Anne Brith Davidsen: – Investigated by the tax authorities

Anne Brith Davidsen (46) was for a number of years a profiled influencer, through both her own channels and in the TV 2 series «The Bloggers». She became popular after the program «All of Norway Baker», and in 2019 published the controversial, but best-selling book «Women who hate women».

In 2019 and 2020, she tried to make others social media stars through the company Influencer Program AS.

That course, however, ended with complaints from several course participants and violation of the Marketing Act.

Both Influencer Program AS and Anne-Brith AS was filed for bankruptcy in mid-February, and this week the bankruptcies were dealt with in a so-called probate collection in Nedre Romerike district court.

The trustee Thomas Wangen of the law firm Halvorsen & Co AS explained the bankruptcy estate. Davidsen himself defied the duty to attend and was absent from the briefing.

The probate meeting was held as a video conference, and Dagbladet followed the process through a video link.

Anne Brith Davidsen has not responded to requests from Dagbladet over a period of more than several months. Dagbladet has repeatedly in recent days tried to get a comment on this matter.

Examines operating expenses

During the probate meeting, it emerged that the tax authorities have conducted investigations of Anne Brith AS for the financial year 2019, but that the report has not been completed.

– The tax authorities have implemented control of the company. The reason is that many of the dispositions in the company are apparently of a private nature, said trustee Wangen, who further described the operating costs as “very high”.

Dagbladet has been in contact with the person responsible for the investigation, Elisabeth Helene Enoksen, in the tax authorities, who refers to the duty of confidentiality and consequently can not comment on the case or background for the investigation.

Wangen emphasized that they do not want to issue a final conclusion before the tax authorities have submitted their report, but that the report will have consequences for the final declaration of the bankruptcy estate.

– It can be important both for the question of criminal offenses and for questions about the bankruptcy quarantine, he explained.

Incomplete accounts

The interim report, which Dagbladet has been given access to, nevertheless states that no criminal offenses have been uncovered in the business so far.

In addition to the tax authorities wanting to investigate the company’s operating expenses, questions have also been raised about whether the company should have declared itself insolvent (unable to pay debts) earlier, Wangen explains.

The reason for this is to reveal whether creditors have suffered unnecessarily large losses.

During the probate meeting, the trustee further stated that Davidsen should not have sent necessary or requested information to the accountant, and that the accounts may therefore be deficient, which is also pointed out in the interim report.

The trustee therefore does not have a complete overview of how large the debt to Anne-Brith AS is.

The annual accounts have nevertheless been approved, it emerged.

Never moved course activities

Davidsen himself has stated that the cause of bankruptcy in both companies is illness and covid-19. Nevertheless, trustee Thomas Wangen clearly cast doubt on whether the corona pandemic could have had a direct impact on Influencer Program AS going bankrupt, as the company mainly held digital courses.

Anne-Brith AS applied for corona support in April last year. This was not granted. In 2019, the company had operating revenues of NOK 1.4 million.

Influencer Program AS had a total of NOK 20,000 in revenue during the operating period from 2019 to 2020.

– The reason why Influencer Program AS was established was to move the course business over there. But you never got that far, Wangen explains.

A total of ten creditors have taken a mortgage on the company Anne-Brith AS, corresponding to a total of NOK 350,000, the report from the law firm shows.

More bankruptcies

Davidsen has been involved in several bankruptcies in the past. In 2016, the company Villa Perlesukker was declared bankrupt, and the company then had more than NOK 220,000 in debt, it was reported Today’s business.

The company Festkaker AS was filed for bankruptcy in 2009, according to Helgelendingen. The company was engaged in baking, and Davidsen was a co-owner of the limited company with several others, according to the newspaper.

She was also a board member of the company Hilleborgs hus AS, which sold interiors and went bankrupt in 2006, according to Regnskapstall.no.

The 46-year-old also has nine other shareholders in the company Anne-Brith AS.

In recent days, Dagbladet has made a number of attempts to get Anne Brith Davidsen to speak, both by telephone, text message and email. She has so far not responded to our inquiries.
