Anna Wintour’s Decision to Merge Pitchfork with GQ Leads to Major Layoffs and Behind-the-Scenes Drama Revealed

Wintour had to disappoint many employees last week. The music website ‘Pitchfork’ will be taken over by ‘GQ’, which has already resulted in at least twelve layoffs. ‘Pitchfork’ journalist Allison Hussey reveals on X what goes on behind the scenes. “An absolutely bizarre detail from this week is that Anna Wintour – sitting at a conference table – didn’t take off her sunglasses when she told us we were about to be fired,” she claims.

Two insiders tell ‘Page Six’ that Anna always wears sunglasses at the office. That’s not really hard to believe, because photos of Wintour without glasses are quite rare.

Wintour is the head of content at Condé Nast, which owns both Pitchfork and GQ magazine. She announced the merger last Thursday. “This decision was made after a careful review of Pitchfork’s performance, and we believe it is the best path forward for the brand so that our music coverage can continue to thrive within the company,” it said.
