Anna Swenn Larsson, 32, held up to the pressure.
Today she took her first World Cup victory of the season.
– It is absolutely incredible. I want to thank the team around me, says an emotional Swenn Larsson.
Already in 2014, Anna Swenn Larsson’s first podium in the World Cup came.
But only once in her career has she stood at the top of the podium. It was in Killington, USA, last season.
Today came victory number two.
The 32-year-old was in the lead after the first run of the slalom competition in Soldeu, Andorra.
Withstood the pressure
The Swede had 14 hundredths to the credit of the American Paula Moltzan and another 28 hundredths down to Zrinka Ljutic, Croatia.
When it was later decided in the second round, Swenn Larsson was matched against the Croatian, who then led Moltzan in the finish.
The Swede never trembled but steadily maintained good speed on the hill. The margin of victory down to Ljutic remained at 35 hundredths.
– It is absolutely incredible. I want to thank the team around me, says an emotional Swenn Larsson.
The victory gives Anna Swenn Larsson CHF 47,000, approximately SEK 500,000.
Sara Hector was eleventh, Cornelia Öhlund 14th and Hanna Elfman Aronsson finished in 17th place.
