Anna Lewandowska on the cover of ELLE. “Women’s power”. Activists are outraged

Anna Lewandowska is a fitness trainer and motivator. Every day, he encourages thousands of women to exercise and take care of their bodies. This is what he focuses on in his social media, avoiding controversial topics or getting involved in socially or politically important matters. For this reason, its new cover did not appeal to activists and Internet users.

Staśko reveals the details of the conversation with Lewandowska’s team. “She called after the meeting”

Anna Lewandowska on the cover of “Elle” magazine

Anna Lewandowska appeared on the cover of the January issue of “Elle” magazine. With a smile, he stretches his hand towards the lens. Under the photo there is an inscription “Women’s strength. Anna Lewandowska is not afraid of mistakes.” Internet users did not like it. The post of “Elle” on Facebook immediately received a lot of negative comments. Women claim that the cover is completely off the mark due to the prevailing public mood in Poland, which the protagonist herself referred to in a rather neutral, yet safe and comfortable way. In addition, the newspaper used the same slogan that was on the cover of “Vogue” with Anja Rubik and it premiered on November 23, ie a week earlier than “Elle”.

Ms Anna Lewandowska definitely does not fit this cover, especially after she issued a statement that was safe for her marketing activities, which did not favor women’s movements. There are many women in Poland who achieve professional success, raise children, and at the same time are not afraid to express their opinions loudly and firmly on pressing social problems.

New cover of “Elle”. The women are outraged

Women also dislike the narrative of making mistakes as if it were wrong and worth fearing. There were also those that pointed out the past to the trainer in the context of making mistakes. In the summer, Anna Lewandowska published a video in which she danced dressed in a disguise that added weight to her. The recording caused a storm in the media. Activist Maja Staśko accused Lewandowski’s wife of body shaming. She stated that the video was an expression of a lack of empathy and stigmatization of larger bodies. Meanwhile, the trainer’s lawyers threatened the activist with a lawsuit and a fine of PLN 50,000. Interestingly, after some time, Maja Staśko was informed that there would be no lawsuit. The public apology was terribly in her court, of course, never came. It is this situation that many women have commented on in the comments.

Lewandowska is not afraid of mistakes, but in order to hide them and sweep them under the rug, she will sue another woman for a lot of money and try to make a victim of herself. Incredible inspiration.

Maja Staśko comments on the cover with Anna Lewandowska

Maja Staśko decided to speak again this time. She stated that Anna Lewandowska’s face has nothing to do with reality in the context of women’s strength.

In a world where thousands of brave women take to the streets and risk losing their jobs or lowering their behavior because they protest – it is precisely the one who considers these acts of courage to be too radical going to the cover (…)?

So far, Anna Lewandowska has not responded to this matter.
