Anna Heinrichson’s personal exhibition I don’t love you / Diena

On the night of the full moon, the forest, free from human traffic, lives its own life. Both empty and meaningful words, questions, answers and laughter echo in the trees. Perhaps these are the conversations of beasts and birds, which reveal themselves more meaningfully in silence than the words spoken between people. The artist has dedicated the installation created especially for the gallery to questions that are sometimes better kept to yourself. Phrases spoken out loud tend to lead to unflattering responses, which can make everyone involved in the conversation feel uncomfortable. However, it is no secret that such questions are the most persistent in the mind. And it may happen that a seemingly lonely walk in the forest results in a dialogue overheard in the treetops.

Although Anna Heinrichson’s exhibition I do not love youwill be housed in Riga’s Smallest Gallery right on the day of all lovers, its mood and theme is not romanticized or mocking love, but rather philosophically contemplative and thoughtfully encouraging.
