Fans looked at the star with pain.
Anna German was one of the most talented performers of her time. She had an army of fans, many tours and, it seemed, a great future. But life had a very difficult fate in store for her. At the peak of her popularity, the singer was in a terrible car accident. She flew out of the convertible, and the doctors literally had to piece Anna German back together.
When all the operations were over, she was put in a cast from head to toe, and her hair was shaved. Her appearance caused pain and horror even among those closest to her. No one believed that after the incident the performer would not only be able to perform, but even just walk. However, Herman did not give up. She got back on her feet, gave birth to a son and continued her career.
True, this was not the last test that befell her. Almost 15 years after the accident, she began to complain of swelling in her legs. As a result, in Moscow she was given a disappointing diagnosis – cancer that had already penetrated into the bones. Anna German knew that she could not defeat this disease, but she performed on stage until the end. She disguised her swollen legs with long dresses, and forced breaks with elements of the show. In 1982 she died in Poland at the age of 46.
