Anna Dyvik misses this weekend’s World Cup competition

Anna Dyvik still does not have a ticket to the WC in Planica and she will not start in the weekend’s competitions in Les Rousses either.

“Since I was not selected to run the sprint this weekend, which means that I do not get the opportunity to qualify for the WC, I felt that I would rather focus on doing good races during the WC week,” writes Dyvik in a text message to SVT Sport .

Was it your own decision because you feel the WC was already over?

“Yes, then I’d rather prioritize SM. I don’t know, but at least I thought that the last place was basically between me, Linn (Svahn) and Moa (Lundgren), but then they (the national team management) have already decided that I won’t have that place, even though I was one tip away from the final three weeks ago,” writes Dyvik.

Haven’t received any information from the national team management

When did you get the news that there won’t be a WC and how did it feel?

“I haven’t received any information about that, but this sprint is the most important before the WC considering that both Linn (Svahn) and Moa (Lundgren) did not compete much earlier in the season. I would have liked to have had the opportunity to show what I can do,” she writes, adding:

“Then it’s the management that makes decisions about the selections, so it’s just a matter of accepting”.

From before, it is clear that Frida Karlsson, Moa Ilar and Calle Halfvarsson are also standing over this weekend’s competitions in Les Rousses.

SVT broadcasts the SM week starting on Tuesday for cross-country skiing, with sprints.
