Anna Donáth leads Momentum’s independent capital city list

Momentum is setting up its own list in Budapest in order to independently measure itself in the capital election. The capital city has a proportional election system, so there is no pressure to cooperate, the voters can freely choose the party they like best, the party wrote in its statement.

The president of Momentum, Anna Donáth, is at the top of the list, but she does not want to sit in the Capital Assembly. Tamás Soproni, mayor of Terézváros, current head of the Momentum faction in the capital, Gábor Havasi, health councilor of the capital, current representative of the capital, Gábor Kerpel-Fronius, deputy mayor responsible for Budapest smart city and participation, Tünde Szkaliczki, Momentum III. district representative, member of the board of Budapesti Közművek and Eszter Kabos, economist, member of the board of BKK.

Other winners of the first ten places on the list: Dániel Berg, II. district deputy mayor, Dániel Rádai, VIII. district deputy mayor, Gergely Bálint, XVII. candidate for district mayor and Diána Stemler, X. district municipal representative.

On Friday morning, Momentum held a campaign launch and program presentation in tune with the municipal and EP elections. Donáth said, referring to the opposition parties, that he is glad that “the unity mantra” has been taken off the table, since, according to him, unity is not an achievement in itself. Soproni said that they have identified four main points in their program: freedom, health, security and development.
