After unveiling the hit “Me Gusta” with Cardi B, Brazilian music star Anitta tackles a bossa nova monument: the song “A Garota de Ipanema”, better known by its English title “The Girl from Ipanema ”. The 28-year-old singer revisits this title composed by Antônio Carlos Jobim and Vinícius de Moraes in 1962, later taken up by more than 120 artists including Frank Sinatra, Amy Winehouse, Stevie Wonder, Andrea Bocelli or Sergio Mendes. For this new version, renamed Girls From Rio, Anitta surrounded herself with the young Gale, a longtime partner, but also the producer Stargate – collaborator of Beyoncé, Rihanna and Britney Spears – as well as the British singer Raye.
