Brazilian singer Anitta celebrated its participation as one of the attractions of the traditional New Year’s Eve party held in Times Square, New York, during which it will bid farewell to 2020 and host 2021.
“My New Years Eve will be in Times Square in New York! We haven’t confirmed before because there was a lot of bureaucracy and I didn’t want to say anything until everything was 100% true ”.
This is what the singer expressed in a story posted on her Instagram account.
Anitta, one of Brazil’s most international artists and who accumulates more than 50 million followers in this social network, also announced that the tests for covid-19 required to enter the United States have already been carried out and commemorated that “Everything is wonderful”.
The singer, however, stressed that the reception of 2021 “will obviously be different” because of the coronavirus pandemic that has hit the world.
He explained that despite the start of vaccination against the virus in the North American nation, New York, as well as much of the world, still has restrictions to stop the advance of Sars-CoV-2.
“The vaccination has already started there, but it will always be another New Years Eve and it will be televised. That’s it, that happiness here ”.
The New York year-end show will be closed to the public, but will air live on Univision and on social media.
The event will last approximately three hours and will be presented by Raúl de Molina and Alejandra Espinoza in Times Square and by Rafael Araneda and Angélica Vale in Miami.
In addition to Anitta, the event will bring together various celebrities and feature musical performances from names such as Pitbull, Gloria Gaynor and Andra Ray, among others.
Anitta, 27, was in Los Angeles a few days ago to record her latest tri-lingual album (Portuguese, Spanish and English), produced by Ryan Tedder, who has worked with artists like Adele and Beyoncé.
