Animal Sculptures Invade New York (Art Jumanji!) – Puro Diseño

New York It’s never the same overnight. And this week dawned with a jungle of fantastic animals in Park Avenue.

It is an ingenious and attractive open-air artistic staging carried out by the artist known under the name Idriss B.

Born and raised in Paris, the plastic artist installed eight park avenue animal figuresbetween 34th and 39th streets.

And, as always happens in the Big Apple, his work is already visited by hundreds of tourists and viralized through social networks.

Idriss B. has been dedicated to art since he was very young, and throughout his career he stood out for his innovative vision and experimentation with new materials and combinations of different sources.

His exhibition completely open to the public in New York City is a sample of that.

Idriss B. presenta polygonal animal figures in different sizes and similar to those that it has been producing in limited editions that have been highly coveted -and valued- among collectors.

“The goal is to give everyone the opportunity to own a unique work of art”, assures Idriss B. convinced that art must go through the walls of galleries and museums to enter private homes and also go out into the street.

In New York, there is its colorful and geometric fauna on the natural grass of the park: Mojo, Baloo the bear, Manny, Dundee, and above all Trex, an imposing 6 meter red dinosaur which is the star of the Park Avenue Zoo.

The hundreds of thousands of visitors who discover and walk through New York every day adore these animal sculptures, these days they have become stars of Instagram.

“If you pass by Park Avenue and see my animals, feel free to take a picture with them and tag me. I would love to see you with them.” writes Idriss B. himself to his community.

Idriss B. He is a very 21st century artist who, in addition to being king in New York, has just presented a similar collection in the NFTs multiverse and also in a golf tournament in the United Arab Emirates and together with the luxury watch brand Rolex.

And with his Baloo bear sculpture he also participated in a gastronomic event in The Galeries Lafayette in Dubai. For the occasion, he replicated his popular figures and made them out of candy.

“This time they were a bit different than usual -warned Idriss B.- Apart from an artistic element, these pieces are made with chocolateso the challenge is doubly complicated: not only does it have to be a beautiful and aesthetic figure, but it also has to be delicious and tasty”, explained the artist who worked with the Valrhona chocolate brand.

“Rexor, the Tyrannosaurus Rex that threatens the Empire, is my favorite. And Baloo, my mood this weekend”, he said about the installation of @idrissbcomAyelen, the Argentine economist and “New York explorer” creator of the blog My Life in New York (mividaen.nyc).
