Animal Crossing: New Horizons gets last major update and first paid DLC – Gaming – News

Subscriptions continue to be added, ten streaming services, 5 gaming subscriptions. Now even for half games, only the expansions, how do they come up with it… because they don’t want to distribute those expansions physically, otherwise too few physical game buyers buy a digital DLC?

Or do they just throw that N64/Sega/DLC at you in every imaginable way, you can soon be charged, call 0900-nintendo and stay on the line for 20 minutes at 1.30 euros per minute for the DLC, or 0900-nintedo rental for €0.10 per minute, but that you can only play the N64/Sega/DLC as long as you stay on the line?

And then also dare to ask the full 70 euros for 4.5-year-old games in the online shop, such as Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It shouldn’t get any crazier over there at Nintendo. Even in America $80 with expansion pass bundle. With Breath of the Wild 2022 it will become interesting, whether such benefit bundles will come, or whether they will only push the online subscription even harder, and if there is more offer, the price of that subscription will increase further and further.

It quickly goes in the wrong direction if you like predictable expenses unfortunately, a simple subscription can still be planned a bit, but this monstrous purchase + subscription variant from Nintendo is really a monstrosity. Letting people spend too much money out of choice, I’m afraid.
