Anima Gemella: A Love Tale of Rebirth and Overcoming Boundaries

But the series is also a journey of rebirth for the protagonists Carlo and Nina. Because you can find (or rediscover) your soul mate when you least expect it…”.

From Endemol Shine Italy thus present the new series, in 4 prime time shows of 100′, from Wednesday 11 October on Canale 5, starring Daniele Liotti and Chiara Mastalli, directed by Francesco Miccichè.

“Anima Gemella” tells the story of Carlo (Daniele Liotti), a charming and very talented doctor who has not yet overcome the death of his wife Adele (Valentina Corti) and who has long tormented himself for not being able to save her, but, thanks to the closeness of Margherita (Alice Torriani), his colleague at the hospital and Adele’s best friend, he managed to overcome his grief and decided to move on, asking Margherita to marry him. Nina (Chiara Mastalli), however, a messed up and generous scammer who claims to be a medium thanks to her great talent in imitating voices, will shake all her certainties.

In the cast, present, among others: Alice Torriani, Alice Mangione, Matteo Sintucci, Davide Iacopini, Valentina Corti, Stefano Santospago, Stefano Fregni, Lucia Ceracchi, Roberto Accornero, Anita Kravos, with the participation of Urbano Barberini, Stefania Rocca and Barbara Bouchet.

The series is set in Turin and there are many locations in the city centre: Piazza Solferino, Piazza Statuto, Piazza San Carlo, Via Cernaia, the Roman Quadrilatero, the Murazzi and the Po rowing clubs just to name a few.

Filming, which took place with the support of Film Commission Torino Piemonte and with the patronage of the city of Turin and the city of Lesa, began in Piedmont in August 2022, first on Lake Maggiore, in Solcio di Lesa (Novara), and continued then to Turin for about 6 weeks of processing in total. Furthermore, there are twenty-five local professionals employed on the set, as well as 3 local actors and more than 500 figurants.
