The cry of ‘president’ welcomes the presence of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan as a tarawih lecturer at the University of Gadjah Mada Mosque (UGM), Sleman, DIY, Thursday (7/4) night.
The shouts of ‘president’ from the congregation responded to accompany Anies’ journey after filling his lecture to the UGM Mosque Office on the west side of the mosque.
Congregants hustle, scramble for selfies or just shake hands. Not a few of the congregation then squeezed each other.
Anies, while spreading a smile, was seen serving the congregants taking selfies and shaking hands.
“President, president, president,” exclaimed the congregation that was there.

It was so crowded that even security officers had to set up barricades to make Anies’ path from the center area to the UGM Mosque Office.
“Mr. Anies President,” said another congregation.
At the mosque location, a banner that reads National Volunteer Buddy Anies Klaten Regency #IndonesiaHasBersamaOrangBaik was also found.

For information, in the series of tarawih services at the UGM Mosque, Anies gave a lecture with the theme ‘Being a Valued Human Being to Meet Indonesia Leading the World in 2045’.
On that occasion, Anies shared his experience and performance in developing the province he leads. This includes prioritizing infrastructure for pedestrians and creating a third space or place of interaction for residents between the first and second spaces.
