Jakarta –
Party NasDem responding to complaints against his presidential candidate Anies Baswedan in Bawaslu because they were believed to have campaigned while in Aceh. The NasDem Party assures that Anies will not campaign.
“First, there is no campaign run by Anies and the NasDem Party. Because it hasn’t entered the scene yet. Anies is also the new NasDem presidential candidate. So where is the campaign?” DPP NasDem chief Willy Aditya said when he was contacted on Wednesday (7/12/2022).
Willy confirmed that Anies Baswedan has just done the prayer service in Aceh. He also stressed that Anies had never used a place of worship to campaign.
“Anies and the NasDem party have never used a place of worship to campaign. When are you going to try? If Mr. Anies prays, hold a prayer service there and then people meet and take a selfie, what what’s wrong “What’s the difference between a public figure or an artist who has experienced this too? so?” Willy said.
Furthermore, he said that NasDem had only presented Anies Baswedan to the public so far. She said the crowds of people who attended were because of Anies’ desire.
“What has been done so far has only been to present Pak Anies to the public, that’s all. If the speech is broad and big, then it means that the community really lacks a figure like Pak Anies,” he said.
Anies reported to Bawaslu
Of note, the presidential candidate carried by the NasDem Party, Anies Baswedanreported to RI Bawaslu. Anies was denounced because he was considered to be campaigning when he visited Aceh some time ago.
Republic of Indonesia (Bawaslu) election supervisory board member Puadi confirmed that residents had come to denounce the former DKI Jakarta governor. However, the report has not been received.
“Yes, an Indonesian citizen reported yesterday that he came to RI Bawaslu office to report on Anies Baswedan’s campaign events in Aceh on December 2, 2022,” Puadi told reporters on Wednesday (7/12).
Anies Baswedan was denounced by several people on Monday (5/12). He said the report could not be accepted because the reporter hadn’t brought three copies of the evidence.
Bawaslu gives the reporter time to complete the document. According to him, the deadline for reporting is seven days after the discovery of the incident.
“Because the 7-day limit has been known since it was discovered, they want to complete the evidence first and will go back to the RI Bawaslu office to report it, sooner than 7 days after it is known,” he said.
