The Executive Director of National Political Studies (KPN) Adib Miftahul said that based on the current political controversy, Anies no longer has a chance to run for the 2024 regional elections at the same time, even from the political level.

“So if Anies cannot run in the regional elections at the same time, I can say that he will be thrown off the political stage,” Adib told CNNDonesia.comThursday (29/8).

Adib believes that this situation means that political parties will not pay attention to Anies because he is too confident, not popular and electable.

According to him, Anies forgot that the configuration of the coalition in the 2024 regional elections was at the same time determined more by the political elite. The political elite is already embarrassed because Anies’ bargaining position is too high.

“So, if Anies does not get a ticket in the regional elections at the same time, in my opinion he will be thrown off the political stage because in the next five years he will only be a figure who cannot, in signs- search, work but outside the situation. a political party.

He said that Anies often took advantage of the movement of the political parties just to go. Anies easily moves from one political party to another.

“If we talk about what happened to him, I think he is in danger of leaving the field in 2029 because he has been on hiatus for five years,” he said.

Nevertheless, the name of Anies will not be diminished. According to him, Anies can take advantage of small parties to consolidate into a new axis.

“That’s the only reasonable effort to maintain his image, a chance to still be noticed,” Adib said.

Adib said that these small parties had a big chance to accept Anies. So, whether he likes it or not, Anies has to join a political party.

“Just putting it together could be a base for the opposition because of the figure of Anies. By raising the level of the opposition, for example, these small parties are more reasonable than creating his own political party ,” he said.

Anies is not a political party organisation

Andalas University political observer Asrinaldi said the political parties were willing to nominate Anies in the DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election in 2024 because he was not a party organization.

He said that Anies was mature outside the party workers, but that the constitution requires cadre action. So, like it or not, Anies must join a political party.

“Party workers are needed. That is what Anies does not understand. With his independent position, he feels that all parties can negotiate with him. Over time, people will certainly no longer respect that way of thinking,” said Asrinaldi.

According to him, this happened to Anies with PDIP and other political parties.

The political level of Anies will be very low, especially the chance of Anies to run for the 2029 presidential election, if the former chancellor of Paramadina University, Jakarta, does not join a political party immediately.

Because, he said, the issue of cadre formation will be more difficult in the 2029 presidential election. Political parties will not name figures who are not party leaders.

“This will make Anies’ political stage darker if he does not immediately decide which party can support him or which party is in line with his views,” Asrinaldi said.

“Like it or not, he has to join the party because over time people will not respect conditions like this because Anies is considered a person who moves from place to place. aja everywhere,” he said.

Asrinaldi believes that the chances of Anies running as a presidential candidate in the next presidential election are very high if the former Governor of DKI Jakarta wants to join a political party.

He said that it would be difficult for Anies to continue in the political world if he insisted on being independent without a political party.

According to him, potential candidates who are progressive and have loyal masses will appear in the 2029 presidential election They will be Anies’ competitors.

“Anies has to decide that because he has become part of the political dynamics of this country, he has to play politics in the context of a party. Maybe that’s what Anies has to think about and understand in the future,” he explained.
