Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan became the first governor to hand over land and water brought from DKI Jakarta to the President Jokowi to be included in Bejana Nusantara at Point 0 of the State Capital (IKN) in Nusantara, Kalimantan, Monday (14/3).
It is known that Anies brought soil from Kampung Akuarium, North Jakarta during the procession.
“The process of unification of land and water brought by governors throughout Indonesia is handed over to the president of Indonesia who will be poured directly into the vessel of the archipelago. We ask the governor of DKI Jakarta,” said the host at the procession.
Anies then came forward with a container filled with soil and water. The container was then handed over to Jokowi to then be poured into Bejana Nusantara.
After Anies, the procession continued with the other governors advancing one by one to hand over the land and water they brought to IKN.
Kampung Aquarium has a long track record of leadership shifts in the capital city. The residents of this village had made a political contract with Jokowi in the 2012 DKI Jakarta Pilkada.
When Jokowi became RI 1, the fate of the Aquarium Citizens was even more unclear. Ahok, who replaced Jokowi as Governor of DKI Jakarta, actually carried out evictions in the village.
