Anies supports Pramono Anung-Rano Karno, Ahok gives comments like this

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Regional Chief Election (Pilkada) will take place soon. Candidate pair (paslon) number 3 for the Jakarta Pilkada, Pramono Anung-Rano Karno, was supported by the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan.

Another deputy governor of DKI Jakarta, namely Basuki Tjahja Purnama or Ahok, appreciated Anies’ decision to support the candidate couple so that he could increase vote support for the PDIP-backed candidate.

“Praise be to God, we can submit votes for Mas Pram and the victory of Bang Doel,” Ahok told Detikcom, which was announced on Sunday (17/11/2024).

In Jakarta Pilkada 2017, Ahok was paired with PDIP-promoted Djarot Saiful Hidayat. However, Ahok-Djarot lost to the pair of Anies Baswedan-Sandiaga Uno.

Before that, the spokesperson of Anies Baswedan, Sahrin Hamid, said that the reason why Anies supported Pramono Anung-Rano Karno was because he saw the history of that person. According to him, Pramono has strategic roles.

“If Mas Anies makes a choice, it will be the first at least, looking at his history. In fact, Mas Pram has a strategic position and everything has been achieved,” said e.

In addition, he continued, he also said that Anies always sees the vision and mission of candidate number 3 which is in line with the vision and mission of Anies who wants to continue his work program in the government.

“If we look, the commitments made by Mas Pram and Bang Doel in their vision and mission document, are more or less a continuation of what Mas Anies has done during his administration in 2017-2021 ,” he said.

“This harmony is the main reference to why Mas Anies supports Mas Pram and Bang Doel,” he concluded.
