Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan set three special locations for the isolation of corona virus patients (Covid-19) in the capital.
The location has a legal basis for the Decree of the Governor of DKI Jakarta number 979 of 2020. The regulation contains the Controlled Isolation Location of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in the Context of Handling Covid-19.
Quoted from the regulation, the three locations are the Jakarta Islamic Research and Development Center (Jakarta Islamic Center) with the address at Jalan Kramat Jaya, Tugu Utara Koja, North Jakarta.
Then Graha Wisata Taman Mini Indonesia Indah on Jalan TMII, Cipayung, East Jakarta, and Graha Wisata Ragunan at GOR Raya Ragunan Complex, Jalan Harsono RM, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta.
It is stated in the second dictum in the Governor’s Decree that all handling fees are borne by DKI.
“The costs required for managing the Controlled Isolation Location of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in the Context of Handling Covid-19 are borne by the APBD or other legal and non-binding sources according to legislation,” he quoted him as saying.
Previously, Anies issued a policy on self-isolation in hospitals for patients positive for the corona virus without symptoms. He hopes that this step can break the chain of transmission.
“Anyone who is exposed to positive Covid must follow the isolation held by the government,” said Anies in Jakarta, Tuesday (1/9).
However, this policy received controversy from the council at the DKI DPRD, one of which is Gilbert Simanjuntak who is also a doctor. He considered that Governor Anies Baswedan’s policy of isolating patients without symptoms of the corona virus in the hospital was a burden to health workers.
Gilbert explained scientifically asymptomatic patients do not need special treatment in the hospital. They can carry out independent isolation in their respective homes
“The burden of medical energy becomes very heavy. The saturation and exhaustion of medical energy is very important, like a team that has been fighting for 6 months non-stop,” Gilbert told CNNIndonesia.com, Thursday (3/9).
