Anies Says The Promise Has Been Fulfilled When JIS Becomes The Location For Eid Prayers

Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan showcased the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS). Anies said JIS was a masterpiece promise that had been fulfilled.

This was conveyed by Anies after holding the congregational Eid prayer at JIS, Monday (2/5/2022). Anies said JIS was the result of a masterpiece by the nation’s children during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“This morning, we can both perform the Eid prayer and witness that a promise has been fulfilled,” said Anies at JIS, Monday (2/5/2022).

“The Jakarta International Stadium is a masterpiece done by the nation’s children in a pandemic atmosphere,” he continued.

Anies said that during the COVID-19 pandemic, JIS construction was carried out quietly. He said that the nation’s children who helped build JIS were also working hard.

“When ground breaking This was done, five months later Jakarta was hit by a pandemic and everyone worked in silence, all worked hard, the nation’s children to finally complete this JIS,” he said.

The former Minister of Education and Culture hopes that JIS is multifunctional so that it can be used for various events, both sporting and social events.

“Today so many people came to take advantage of this place as a place for Eid prayers and we really wanted this place to be multipurposehas many benefits for sports, arts, culture, social, religious activities,” he explained.
