DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan ensure that changing the names of a number of streets in Jakarta with the names of Betawi figures will not cause problems. He said the policy had gone through a long process involving the police, BPN, and Dukcapil.
“Thank God this has been discussed well with the police. Because maybe people will ask later how STNK, sir? How the BPKB? Already too late write The name has been discussed with that,” said Anies during the inauguration ceremony for the street name of the Betawi figure at the Betawi Cultural Village Management Unit Office in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, Monday (20/6/2022).
“Then the land certificate has also been discussed with the BPN, so God willing, there will be no problems. And then later in the population, it will also be discussed with the Dukcapil, so that later ID cards, family cards, and others can gradually be immediately renewed with new names so as not to cause problems a problem for everyone.”
Anies said that the change in the name of the road had gone through a process of cooperation with related parties. He invited all parties to succeed in changing the name of the road.
“So this is part of our current effort to be able to make this change less difficult, change actually makes it easier,” he said.
He also expressed his gratitude to all parties involved in the process of changing the name of the road. According to him, the process was delayed through a complicated process that took months.
