Jakarta, CNNIndonesia —
Presidential candidate (candidate) Anies Baswedan giving a signal that there will be additional political parties joining the Coalition for Change to face 2024 presidential election.
“We see the seriousness of these three parties, hopefully it will be there soon [partai] fourth, hopefully [partai] the fifth later,” said Anies in the event “National Gathering and Dialogue of KAHMI Figures” which was held by KAHMI Jaya in Ancol, Jakarta, Thursday (16/3) evening.
Even so, Anies did not mention which political parties would join the NasDem, Democrats and PKS.
He emphasized that his coalition political parties are accustomed to completing their work first and then announcing it. Not the other way around, it was announced before but there was no result.
“We usually finish work, then it’s an announcement. It’s not an announcement, it’s not an orgy,” he said.
Anies said the message of improvement and change that he is currently carrying can reach more parties to join in.
He also hopes that KAHMI can become one of the channels that spread this message of change throughout Indonesia.
“Messages about improvement, messages about change will gradually reach more and more,” he said.
Met after the event, Anies was reluctant to name the party that would join his coalition.
“We’ll see, I’ve always never brought it up before, but it’s done right,” he said.
