Presidential candidate number 1, Anies Baswedan, said the struggle in political contestation is not easy. Anies considers himself a presidential candidate with only one knee. What does it mean?
This was conveyed by Anies at the 12th KH Haul event. Ahmad Sufyan Miftahul Arifin at the Manba’ul Hikam Islamic Boarding School, Situbondo, East Java. Anies said that his party often carries out campaigns abroad to reach the community.
“The struggle in this political process is not a small challenge. Even though we have previously stated that our capital is knee plus. Knee plus means that the capital is just to walk around everywhere,” said Anies in his presentation, Thursday (28/12/2023) evening .
Anies said that if someone had a lot of money they wouldn’t go anywhere. Anies said that usually they will highlight billboards which are everywhere.
“Those who have a lot of money don’t go around, sir. It’s the billboards that go around. The billboards are everywhere, the people aren’t anywhere,” said Anies, who was greeted with laughter from the congregation.
“But if the billboards are not everywhere and the people are going everywhere,” he said.
He then said that AMIN was in the second category. Even if there are billboards, he said, they are purely from the grassroots who support his party voluntarily.
“So we are in the second group. The ones who go around a lot but don’t have enough billboards. And even if a lot of billboards are put up, the billboards are unique. The photo looks like Anies and Muhaimin,” said Anies.
“Why? Because it is made independently, independently, independently. The colors are different. If the color is the same, that means it was made from Jakarta. But if the color is different, each village makes it themselves,” he continued.
According to him, billboards like that come from the people, not from the center. He joked that the banner that AMIN appeared on even had a different color from the supporting party.
“The supporters are PKB green, NasDem is blue, PKS is orange. Well, the color can be red, it can be the opposite blue. Basically put up banners. But that’s the struggle that perhaps, God willing, this movement of sincere people will have a bigger effect,” he concluded. .
