Anies Baswedan ‘surrounded’ after the disbandment of the Mandalika MotoGP

The Mandalika 2022 MotoGP was also visited by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan. Even when he left the circuit, Anies became a scramble for selfies.

According to detikOto’s observation, Anies came out of the tunnel where the commercial area is located on the Mandalika circuit. This area is where the audience is mostly spectators. While officials and company bosses actually gather in the deluxe area which is certainly more comfortable.

As a result, the tunnel area, which was actually already very crowded after the audience had dispersed, caused a bit of a stagnation.

The Mandalika MotoGP event for the first time was witnessed by a number of officials. In addition to Anies, President Joko Widodo, Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno, to the Chairman of the House of Representatives Puan Maharani were seen watching the Mandalika MotoGP live.

For your information, the MotoGP which took place at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit was held in wet race conditions, even though it was postponed due to heavy rain. The rain handler was also seen returning to action and drew the attention of the crew and MotoGP racers who were waiting for the rain to subside.

But thankfully, the celebration could be completed smoothly after KTM’s Miguel Oliveira won the championship title, while Fabio Quartararo and Johan Zarco were in second and third positions.
