Candidate for the Coalition for Change for Unity (KPP), Anies Baswedan responded to the statement by Head of Bappilu PPP Sandiaga Uno who said he would embrace PKS and Democrats. Anies said that his party had gone beyond such things.
“We have gone beyond all of that,” said Anies at Puri Cikeas, Bogor, Friday (25/8/2023).
Anies was reluctant to comment further regarding this matter. But he ensured a solid coalition of supporters.
“What other signs are needed to prove (solid),” said Anies.
It is known that Sandiaga previously said he would communicate with PKS and Democrats, especially Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) regarding the emergence of the issue of the Ganjar and Anies duo.
“I haven’t received a brief as the head of the national Bappilu, but I read it while on the plane and I will coordinate with PPP, because this is of course related to the strategy for preparing and socializing legislative cadres and candidates,” Sandiaga was quoted as saying. detikSulselWednesday (23/8).
Sandiaga welcomes the discourse of a duet of Ganjar and Anies in the 2024 Presidential Election. He believes that if the duet materializes it will unite forces.
“But in my opinion, if this is realised, it will show that it is ultimately related to the previous survey, that there is thinking about the aspirations of the people and evidence of the importance of continuing Pak Jokowi’s programs which are centered on the economy,” he said.
“And also how to unite all forces and of course any potential to unite PPP must be accepted with open arms and must also ensure that this is really what the people want,” Sandiaga continued.
The Indonesian Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy believes that Anies and Ganjar will bring new enthusiasm to the contest for democracy in 2024. Sandiaga said he would embrace PKS and Democrats.
“We consider all these friendships something positive and we must welcome them with optimism. But of course I also want to invite friends from PKS and also from Democrats, especially Mas AHY, because this is an integral part so that we all embracing, so that we can fight together for the target of Advanced Indonesia-Golden Indonesia in 2045,” he said
