Anies Baswedan Focuses on Presidential Election Dispute Amid Rumors of Running for Jakarta Governor

Ann Baswedan he did not say much about the blessing of NasDem General President (Ketum) Surya Paloh if he wanted to run again in the DKI Jakarta Regional Election. Anies said he was still focused on overseeing the 2024 presidential election dispute process at the Constitutional Court (MK).

“We are now waiting for the Constitutional Court. So we are all focused on that,” said Anies after the halalbihalal event with Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin at his residence in Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, Tuesday (16/4/2024).

Anies confirmed that he would carry out this process until the end of the decision of the Constitutional Court.

“Finish this process to the end,” he said.

It was previously reported, NasDem DPP Chairman Willy Aditya said Paloh invited Anies to run for DKI Jakarta Regional Election 2024 Willy said NasDem was also considering several other names to be nominated.

“If the name is here, it must be Mas Sahroni, yes, it must be Wibi Andrino, yes it may be Anies Baswedan himself,” Willy told reporters, Monday (15/4).
Willy said that NasDem did not give the application to Anies. But, he said, this was a debate.

“It is not an offer, it is a discussion, so friends can read my article. The decision-making process that we expressed on March 20 was the result of a long conversation with Mas Anies “Yes, here it is open, fair, everything is discussed on the table,” he said.
