Presidential candidate (Capres) number 1, Anies Baswedan is confident of winning the presidential election in the second round. He brought up his victory in the second round of the 2017 DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election.
Reported detikSumbagsel, Anies campaigned in Bandar Lampung, Lampung Province. In a discussion meeting with students entitled Urging Anies, he admitted that he had experience in election contestation.
“Because we have experience fighting two rounds,” he said, Thursday (7/12/2023).
Anies gave an example of the conditions in the DKI Gubernatorial Election which put his electability, along with Sandiaga Uno, in the third or lowest position. At that time, Anies-Sandi fought with Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok)-Djarot Saiful Hidayat, and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY)-Sylviana Murni.
“So far, in the Presidential Election Survey, we have always been at number 3. This has also happened in the DKI Jakarta Gubernatorial Election. But the proof is, we won in the second round. And God willing, we will win,” he stressed.
Previously, Anies also explained a few of his work programs if he was later elected as President of the Republic of Indonesia. One of the things he leaked was the equitable distribution of mass transportation development which will be built in Lampung Province.
