The presidential candidate of the Coalition for Change for Unity (KPP) Anies Baswedan claimed not to receive WhatsApp messages from politicians from the NasDem Party Muhammad Farhan.
“I immediately sent WA to him. Because I don’t have WA on it. I’ll just show you this,” Anies said when met at the Indonesia Kempinski Hotel, Jakarta, Thursday (20/7).
Anies then showed his WhatsApp conversation message with Farhan. It appears that Anies sent a news link regarding Farhan’s story, which he never replied to.
“Brother Farhan, I feel like I haven’t received his WA, ‘Oh, sorry, bro, maybe I can change numbers. This is what I don’t have. I saved it.’
Previously, Farhan talked about his WhatsApp messages, which the former Governor of DKI Jakarta had not replied to for a long time.
He conveyed this when asked whether Anies would recommend the Election AI platform or application that was just launched at the Djakarta Theater, Thursday (20/7) to win the 2024 Presidential Election.
“Do you think Mas Anies recommends using this or not?” asked the MCs.
“I don’t know, I haven’t replied to WA for a long time,” said Farhan, laughing.
After the event, Farhan explained again about the message that Anies did not receive a reply to. According to Farhan, this is a natural thing.
“Maybe he’s busy or changing numbers, I also don’t know. Naturally, as a presidential candidate, he must have various layers of security,” he explained.
Nevertheless, Farhan did not have a problem with his message, which Anies did not reply to. According to him, the most important thing to pay attention to is work in the field and winning.
“The important thing is to work in the field smoothly lah. Now, right, what matters is nothing personal. The important thing is how to win,” he said.
Farhan assesses that currently his relationship with Anies is fine. He also admitted that he had met the former education minister and was not offended by aliases baper because the message is not replied.
“Meeting is fine, not to the point of being sullen. Like ‘how come you unfollow me?’, it doesn’t come to that. fine,” he said.
Anies is the presidential candidate that has been officially declared by the NasDem Party. So far, NasDem has formed a coalition with PKS and the Democrat Party in the Coalition for Change for Unity.
Until now, the Coalition for Change has yet to announce who Anies’ running mate will be in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.
