Anies Baswedan and Ganjar Pranowo Shake Hands and Speak After 2024 Presidential Debate

Banyumas

Presidential candidate number 01 Anies Baswedan shook hands and spoke with the Chair of the PDIP DPP Puan Maharani after the third debate in the 2024 presidential election. Candidate number 03 Reward Prabowo also gave a response.

Ganjar was asked regarding Anies’ statement which said that all opportunities existed after shaking hands with Puan. One of them is the opportunity for a coalition. Ganjar also assessed that anything could happen.

“Yes, anything could happen,” he said Ganjar Pranowo in Banyumas, Central Java, Tuesday (9/1/2024).

Ganjar said he also shook hands with Anies and presidential candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto.

“I also shook hands with Mas Anies, I also shook hands with Pak Prabowo too. So we shook hands with Mas Anies, Pak Prabowo shook hands, I shook hands with everyone,” he said.

Previously, presidential candidate number 1 Anies Baswedan opened his voice about the moment he shook hands with the Chair of the PDIP DPP, Puan Maharani, after taking part in the third debate held by the KPU. Anies said that later he would tell you about the contents of his conversation with Puan Maharani at that moment.

“Yes, that’s the story later,” said Anies as reported by Antara, Tuesday (9/1/2024).

Anies explained that he, along with vice presidential candidate Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin, was only focused on greeting everyone at the debate location.

“After the debate, we shook hands with everyone there, so if we weren’t there (around the debate area, ed), I didn’t shake hands, because automatically I wanted to find somewhere, so we greeted everyone there, including Mbak Puan, ” said the former Minister of Education and Culture.

Regarding the opportunity to form a coalition with PDIP in the future, Anies admitted that he had not yet thought about it in that direction, because he was still focused on increasing existing support for the current Anies-Muhaimin or AMIN pair.

The former Governor of DKI Jakarta believes that the enthusiasm for change is getting bigger, so he is optimistic that not only one or two parties will join, but the community will join the movement for change.

“Yes, basically all opportunities are always there, but now our concentration is not there, our concentration is increasing support for change, after that we can talk about the next phase,” he said.

PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto previously responded to the moment Puan Maharani shook hands with Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar after the third debate on the 2024 presidential election was over. Hasto considered that this was a good thing for political figures to do.

“Mbak Puan’s greeting with Mas Anies and Gus Muhaimin was good,” said Hasto at the PDIP DPP, Jalan Diponegoro, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday (8/1).
