Luis Enrique was angry at the Spanish players who were thought to have lost the rhythm of the game and also commented on Japan’s controversial goal incident in World Cup 2022.
Enrique admitted he couldn’t comment much on Japan’s controversial goal in the match. In the process of Japan’s second goal scored by Ao Tanaka, the ball appeared to have crossed the line before being kicked by Kaoru Mitoma.
Enrique briefly blurts out his heart but then concludes that he doesn’t want to comment further.

“They can score two goals against us, even if they have to score two more, then they can score those goals,” said Enrique praising Japan.
Enrique then firmly stated that Spain did not deserve to keep their status as group winners.
“Japan advanced with first-place status and they deserved it because they beat Germany and Spain,” said Enrique.
