Cristiano Ronaldo upset then got involved in an incident with a supporter Everton. Striker Manchester United it apologizes.
Ronaldo made an upload on his social media, Sunday (10/4/2022) early in the morning WIB. He uploaded it a few hours after the Everton vs MU match at Goodison Park, which was held on Saturday (9/4/2022) night WIB.
In his upload, Ronaldo apologized to Everton fans. He even wanted to make amends, by inviting the audience to Old Trafford.
“It is never easy to face emotions in difficult times like the ones we are facing. However, we must always respect, be patient and set an example for all young people who love beautiful games,” wrote Ronaldo.
“I would like to apologize for my anger and, if possible, I would like to invite these supporters to watch the match at Old Trafford as a sign of fair-play and sportsmanship,” wrote CR7.
Previously, Ronaldo looked annoyed after Manchester United was defeated Everton in the Premier League match. While walking down the aisle, the Portugal forward was seen dropping something, which was thought to be a cellphone, belonging to an Everton fan. MU itself reportedly will investigate it.
The defeat of Everton make Manchester United stuck in rank 7 Premier League standings. The situation makes the Red Devils threatened to miss the Champions League next season.
