The idea is not new. “She arose during a public meeting”, recalls Guillaume Chupin, works assistant. To better inform Angoumoisins about the history of the street (and give ideas for names), the City organized a historical conference at the beginning of June. “If there is a desire to rename it, we will organize workshops, we will bring out proposals and there will be a wider consultation”, details the chosen one. As had already been done for the Églantines park (formerly Boucheron), at La Grand-Font, for example.
The municipality is currently asking the Angoumoisins for another baptism: that of the nursery of Saint-Cybard. Will it be called “Grabouillon”, “Minuscule”, or “The mysterious cities of gold”? Voting is open until July 28 (there have only been 4 entries so far). And it’s still going on jeparticipe.angouleme.fr.
